The Quiet Revolt

Vamana, The Dwarf Incarnation of Vishnu - Ruler of this New Moon January 29th 2025

Where there is madness, may we remember that we are not the madness.

In moments of great challenge, when you feel you have lost access to choice, may you remember the practice of stillness within as a path that will lead you back to your own personal agency.

Quiet does not equate indifference.

Stillness does not indicate disempowerment.

What if quiet meant consistent, clear, and resourceful.

What if still meant cunning, perceptive and discerning.

Stillness is a quality of being that invites clarity.

It makes space for the grace.

And the undetermined space of future possibilities.

When we expand our understanding of the world to the wider sphere of consciousness we get an entirely new and different view.

Stillness allows for our mind and body to access deeper connection with this wider sphere of consciousness. It allows for greater self-awareness and provides access to our deepest point of contact with our own inner resolve.

When things feel impossible, when the world feels as if it has gone mad, your ability to regulate your inner state of perception can be your most empowering move.

Remaining present, aware, and caring is its own quiet revolt.

It’s not always easy when the pressure is on and all you want to do is act on impulse.

When impulsivity runs high, you can be sure the slow, deep clarity within is struggling to stay top of mind. It is not only advantageous, but immensely transformative when you learn how to hold new states of grace amidst utter chaos. It takes, practice, focus and learning new levels of discernment.

It is a quality of mind, with an inner precision, that comes through your own inner capacity for stillness.

When breath is regular, and body is calm, the mind is clear and sharp.

Stillness is your point of empowerment. It is a state of being that supports all other states of doing. All other activity is informed by how well, how deeply, you can hold a position of inner stillness.

Why?

Because it is through the capacity for stillness you become aware and observing. Choice can then presents itself.

When you can hold a state of inner stillness you give way to your ability to perceive insight and guidance for where your energy and action are ready to go next.

Stillness risks becomes indifference when we dissociate or separate from what is actually happening. Stillness, paired with awareness, discipline, and resilience, is a highly interconnected state of resource, depth, and clarity.

Being able to hold regular states of stillness (the ocean of aliveness in you) gives you access to the spaciousness of where all other choice becomes possible. It gives the ground and strength to your personal agency.

In times of incredible loss, societal chaos, personal conflict, and collective challenge, having a regular practice of mindfulness is without a doubt a necessity. Dropping into stillness is your ally for achieving mind-body health, emotional wellbeing, and spiritual resiliency.

There is nothing more important than keeping your perspective in tact.

When the world gets loud, erratic, and invasive your secret super power is being able to hold an inner state of perspective. To keep your psychic space clean, keen, and cultivated. To sustain regular intervals of connection, clarity, and a perceiving mind allows for greater states of grace to emerge.

Choice is not given to you. Choice is generated from the expansiveness of consciousness (the conscious aliveness) within you.

When feelings of despair and helplessness set in you will be asked to reclaim your focus and move towards what you can do. Working with your inner states, finding your own personal resolve, giving yourself full agency to decide what is next for you becomes an essential regular everyday practice.

The world’s stage is loud right now. There is no shortage of urgent need on the planet. It helps no one to overly merge your energy with other people’s toxic stress levels.

Your ability to respond inwardly first, to preserve the space of empowered choice within you, is always available and necessary. No one can touch the space of choice within you. You have the agency to assume a position of power within yourself, always. This deep unwavering space of inner resolve comes from your ability to hold a position of stillness from within.

It is here we learn who we really are.

It is here we can face our fears and vulnerabilities with courage.

It is here we can unpack challenges and create effective strategies for change.

It is here we can make new and different choices for ourselves and our shared collective reality.

May you touch deeper down, within yourself, to find your nature is completely powerful, free, boundless, and uninhibited.

May you remember this place of deep inner resourcefulness that is never ending. May you learn to trust it unconditionally.

May you know, without a shadow of a doubt, that no one else has access to this inner place but you.

With love and possibility,

Andrea Maxine
