Don’t Underestimate Yourself
When you know who you are and trust in what you are here to do, you are empowered to make real change happen in your life.
Not just by changing things up a little bit like raising your fee, or getting a promotion, or making more money, but by risking to be more of who you are…
Unwanted Changes
If you feel your mind has not been able to stop spinning an endless race of stressful thoughts you may want to check in with your capacity for ground.
If you’re feeling anxious and ungrounded, it can be an opportunity to work with the breath and help stabilize the mind. To consciously and effectively work with the movement of wind in the body to redirect it to a more balanced flow within yourself.
In times of unruly change finding practices that help you ground and center are essential.
Unfolding Solutions
Unfolding solutions, when the view is obscured.
Without being in touch with your true needs you cannot create the path that will bring about a solution.
The Courage to Own What You Want
It was in this moment the course of the way I did business changed. I was able to see what was missing with someone else’s expert eyes on what I was doing. But the course shifted not just because I met a business coach for the first time, but because I committed to the process that was underway.
As a result of signing of for her group coaching program I met a community of people who got it, who saw me, who supported me, and who were on the same path.
Anticipating Obstacles
On every path in life, work, art, or relationship, there will be obstacles.
These obstacles are part of the necessary creative tension that is needed to grow you through a trajectory of expansion.
The Right Support
I think where we go wrong is thinking that a good strategy will bail us out of our indecision around our work.
It won’t.
In fact, strategy (or the lack there of) can often be what perpetuates the overwhelm we feel.
Community as Healer
As creative entrepreneurs, we often grapple with a whirlwind of questions:
- What do I offer that truly matters?
- Who will resonate with what I do?
- Am I good enough to deliver this work?
- Will people choose to invest?
It’s all too easy to blur the lines between who you are and what you do, but here’s the truth: You are not your work. Your work is a vehicle for your purpose, but it is not your identity.
The Turning Point
Eight years ago, I faced a pivotal turning point in my life and career.
Despite doing what I loved for a living, I worked often with almost no time off which caused me to burn out on the work I loved to do.
I knew my passion was to be of service, to truly effect influential change in the lives of my clients, and I was working with clients I loved, but I still felt stretched across different business models that were not enabling me to truly thrive.
I was exhausted.
Reimagine Success
I used to think that my level of success depended upon how hard I worked in my business.
This led to a feeling that I alone was responsible for making success happen.
I can imagine many honest, hard-working, driven people share this belief.
We take it ALL on ourselves.
We know how important self-responsibility is to creating success consistently.
We have the drive, discipline, and focus to make it happen.
But somewhere along the way we can find ourselves out of balance with that drive.
Belong to the Truth of Who You Are
The foundation of the Vedic teachings on abundance begins with awareness.
A basic awareness of the good and plenty in life.
It begins with trusting a new level of awareness within yourself and knowing how to connect to the deeper fabric of your life.
Healing Scarcity
Wealth is having time and loving more deeply than before.
It’s about learning how to trust, how to feel safe, and how to receive. It’s not just about money. It’s about living true to your purpose.
Abundance is a state of mind, a state of being, that starts with gratitude.
Truly appreciating what you have now and inviting the substance of your life to grow into greater positives.
Finding Sacred Ground
Life has been so very busy lately.
The luxury of creative time and my love affair with it feels hidden away somewhere, longing, one day, to be found.
And yet within these last poignant changes, of death and transition, I have found myself in altogether new rhythm.
Embracing Chaos to Find Clarity
When everything comes apart at the seams and nothing feels like it’s working....
I usually ask the question:
What’s here that we may not be seeing?
What’s here that we may not be registering as guidance?
What’s here that may be hidden in the shadows of our own doubts and reservations?
Moving through Friction
It can be so hard to hold your ground, your truth, in the face of relationships.
Relationships naturally challenge you.
Many of our most promising moments are difficult ones.
These moments reveal to us the dynamics that have been with us since childhood.
It is a gift when you can see that the patterns showing up for you now are exactly what is needed to help you heal your past and allow for a new and different future.
Healing Our Relationships
Being in conscious relationship means being aware of how power dynamics work between people.
If you feel challenged in your personal relationships, you might also notice that you face similar patterns in your client and work relationships.
One is often a reflection of the other.
Offering you a dynamic to pay attention to.
Reading for the Full Moon
Let this full moon glow fill you up.
You have been giving a lot.
Now it is time for you to renew and refuel.
Emotionally, energetically, spiritually, and physically.
Embracing Your Inner Process
Sometimes this means having the courage to simply show up with nothing more to say or give, and just grieve what is letting go with greater amounts of care and self-compassion.
Metamorphosis
You see it doesn’t matter what area of your life challenges you, your particular direction life, the evolution and curriculum you will undergo, that is unique to you will always be pointed out to you by your soul.
You will know it by what hands you the boon of ecstasy and the undercurrent of grief at the same time.
Gradual Sharpness
Clarity and direction do not come well with force.
They arise as you touch deep into the realms of your BEING, here and now.
They are the results of giving space to the most precious (hard and pressing) questions you are in.
What Makes Your Business a Success
You don’t need to be brilliant at the business side of things. Instead, you need to know who you are as a creator, and what kind of leader you are choosing to be.
