Woven With Spirit

I am not here to convince you of a way to heal.

I am not here to give you advice or tell you what to do.

I am here to partner with you and to help you see yourself with clarity.

I am here to help the path before you reveal itself, so that you can step into your life.

There is no one right way to heal. No one way to transform your life, your relationships, your work.

There is only the path right before you.

There are moments when we cannot see the way. When the pain of uncertainty, self-doubt, or unworthiness has been or still is too great for us. When the water to wade through is still too high for us to see the answers for the questions in front of us.

This is when we call on the help of others who can guide us through the process. To help us identify the landscape we are in. To help lighten the load and clear the overgrowth of the past that is blocking our view. To enrich our connection to the substance of our being here for new seeds of beauty, insight, and awareness to grow.

Often what we find here, at the juncture of soul level deep change, is a sorrow for how the broad, grand gestures we thought would get us there and help us create the change we wanted, fell short of what was actually needed.

We recognize we need to act, but how?

For some it is taking the small, practical steps that are the hardest to take. Mostly because all they can see/feel in the moment is the grand sweeping vision urging them to move on, to take action, to create the change.

And yet, it is in the tiny acts of clarity and devotion that build the bridge we need to cross to live into the vision we see for ourselves. The better reality we hope for and the sustenance we need.

It is in the small ways we care for ourselves. It is in the way we love others. Share, connect, and listen. It is in the way we come to regard our life as a place of homecoming that welcomes us deeper into healing and change.

I know this terrain well. Well enough to say that having a big vision alone will not get you all the way there.

Following through on your vision is about how you support that big sweeping energy with small steady steps and consistent action. How supported you feel in taking that action matters. How clear you are about the choices you make to bring that vision to life makes all the difference.

When we slow down to look at the gaps between our creative vision and practical reality, we find something deeper needs healing, needs attention, needs a shift in perspective.

We can begin to see what matters most and lean into the conscious and generative space of change. We can begin to make what feels like an impossible step a tangible reality.

This is something we learn how to do along the way - through the doing of what we say we want. Not by waiting until we are ready. Navigating our life with spirit as our guide is a fluency of adeptness we develop with time. As we learn to let go and trust beyond our own impulse to grasp, control, and predict the outcome, we move into the new possibilities that await our receptivity and alignment.

Partnering with spirit in life is a practice. It is not one you can think your way through. It is one by which you learn a radical form of acceptance. A kind of acceptance that reveals a need for patience, practicality, and even new levels of support.

When you finally see that the bigger vision for what you dream of isn’t possible without addressing the need for practicality, it may be time for a different approach.

One that allows you to see how your path in the world is woven with spirit.
