Healing is a spiral.

Healing is a spiral.

Healing is rarely linear. It moves in phases, waves, and spirals —bringing us back to memories in time, dynamics at play, and emotional landscapes we thought we’d already worked through.

It can feel frustrating, right?

You’ve done the work, you know what the issue is, and yet here it is again. That same dynamic with [_fill in the blank_ ] giving way to that familiar wound, feeling like a blind spot just hit you over the head.

Why now? Why me? Why this?

When these retrograde moments arise, you are being given an invitation. The ask here is to slow you down, help you get curious, and pay attention to what your life circumstances are revealing to you.

Heartbreak, loss, disappointment, uncertainty, repeating dynamics in relationship, all offer a chance to learn at a deeper level who you really are and what you really want. There is power in making peace with the past. There is power in standing clear and present with yourself now to make a new (more compassionate) move.

Breakdown to breakthrough moments reveal what you’ve outgrown and offer you a chance to create something entirely new. To embrace how you have changed, to feel safe in your decision for something different, and choose with more trust than before.

When you feel like life has delivered too many blows to count and it feels like you are going backwards in time, there may be an important pattern at play trying to get your attention. This cycle may just be ready to break loose. Are you ready for it?

Knowing how to increase your ability to remain caring and self-aware in moments like these is essential for navigating the changes that are asking you to grow.

Can you gently ask yourself:

“What is happening right now for me? What is arising from within? Can I name it? Can I witness it, with more patience than before, what is here for me now? Can I give myself the space to be with this without pushing it away or rushing to fix it?”

When you give yourself the time to notice, breathe, and be, you can start to learn what is still holding, hiding, or clinging to familiar. This act of patience, paired with a keen level of inner discernment, begins the process of healing. It offers you the chance to listen at a deeper level, at the level of your body, to receive the compassionate understanding you need in the moment.

To come back home to yourself.

Healing does not happen by force. It is not about knowing more, or analyzing more, but rather about understanding when to let go of control and, instead, give way to what your authentic inner experience is offering you.
