Winter Solstice Blessings
I have always loved this time of year.
The winter time.
The deepest yin time.
The dark time.
It reminds me to slow down, to take care, and by simple means acknowledge what I value in life.
It is naturally a time of slowing down and gathering inward. It is a time to take notice and tend to what stirs beneath the surface.
To sit with the unknown.
To be with what wants to emerge, let go, and release for the sake of something new.
It can be an incredibly rejuvenating time of year if we allow ourselves the space for listening, for more being, and less doing.
When we invite the potency of stillness into our being we can receive so much.
Awareness deepens, healing becomes available, and personal reflection yields the path of where the soul is headed.
This is a time for cultivation of capacity. It is a time to prioritize inner practices and let deeper wisdom to guide our actions. It is a time for both self-care and a quality of togetherness that will nourish.
How I balance these two aspects of daily life, the need for stillness and spacious creative time with the need for dynamic stimulating connections, is an ever present dance that shapes me and my work.
Being very intentional about this juxtaposition between self care and quality time with others is what helps me most. To know inwardly when I need to pull away from all the busy-ness and yield more in to my inner practices and when I need to skillfully engage with others and take clear action.
This winter solstice in particular feels like a pivotal point in time. If we are paying attention it is bringing ample opportunities for healing root issues and is reminding us about how we place our heart into the things we do.
It is a time for deep remembrance of the soul level in life. The soul level in life guides us when we make time for listening and receiving that inner warmth of the heart.
Gathering inward.
Gathering resource.
Sharing in the bliss that comes with the intimacy of stillness.
May you feel your purpose guide you.
May the depth of your courage lead.
May you be supported in every way imaginable and loved in a context wider than sometimes your mind can imagine but your heart knows is true.
Yours for the journey,
Andrea
