What You Practice, You Create
“The danger isn’t that we are distracted. It’s that our capacity to imagine beyond what is familiar to us begins to atrophy.” Toko-pa Turner
When we live in a perpetual state of stress, urgency, and demand we lose our ability to envision and enact a life that is meant for us.
Creative energy is a flow state.
It is a generous and life-giving force.
To mobilize your purpose in life, to bring your vision into form and function, you need your creative energy in tact and you need to know how to direct it.
Working with your creative energy means tapping into a space that ushers your mind into a relaxed and receptive state. It is in this state that you are far more capable to harness vision, clarity, and healing for your life.
When you are living in a perpetual state of survival and stress your receptivity, creativity, and capacity to attract positives in life diminish.
Essentially your system knows to close down, become more efficient and self-preserving, and narrows your ability to perceive new information and source beneficial potentials.
Living in a constant state of stress shuts down your capacity to effectively relax, receive, and resource. The window of breath, perception, and imagination closes.
Urgency prioritizes action. Your system readies you for an exit route. In this state of urgency and demand you are no longer creating, you are surviving. You are searching for safety. Trying to figure out your options. Scrambling. Reaching. Pushing. Striving. (re) Acting.
Though this is a very intelligent design intended for our self-preservation, living in a state of stress over prolonged periods of time weakens your capacity for resilience, creativity, and change.
This is when lack is most present and a heavy inner critic can appear. Fear or self-doubt take over, narrow your attention, and the aperture of possibility begins to close.
Living in a state of lack perpetuates a view of lack. A view of lack perpetuates an experience of lack. An experience of lack perpetuates low states of energy.
In low states of energy, like burn out or prolonged stress, we become much more susceptible to negativity, anxiety, and weak porous boundaries with others.
In a world where negativity is an active currency, we need to learn how to regulate better, become more discerning, and resource our inner wisdom with much more precision than before.
Living from a state of inner abundance is not lofty or fanciful thinking. It is robust, life-affirming, resilience.
With love & deepest respect for your healing journey,

P.S. On September 17th at 10AM Central Time | 11AM Eastern Time I will be hosting a free class to open the discussion around lack vs. abundance. Living in these times today requires an up-leveling for each of us in our ability to respond rather than react, in our ability to create rather than just survive. Click here to join us.
