The Courage to Own What You Want
It was in this moment the course of the way I did business changed. I was able to see what was missing with someone else’s expert eyes on what I was doing. But the course shifted not just because I met a business coach for the first time, but because I committed to the process that was underway.
As a result of signing of for her group coaching program I met a community of people who got it, who saw me, who supported me, and who were on the same path.
The Right Support
I think where we go wrong is thinking that a good strategy will bail us out of our indecision around our work.
It won’t.
In fact, strategy (or the lack there of) can often be what perpetuates the overwhelm we feel.
Community as Healer
As creative entrepreneurs, we often grapple with a whirlwind of questions:
- What do I offer that truly matters?
- Who will resonate with what I do?
- Am I good enough to deliver this work?
- Will people choose to invest?
It’s all too easy to blur the lines between who you are and what you do, but here’s the truth: You are not your work. Your work is a vehicle for your purpose, but it is not your identity.
The Turning Point
Eight years ago, I faced a pivotal turning point in my life and career.
Despite doing what I loved for a living, I worked often with almost no time off which caused me to burn out on the work I loved to do.
I knew my passion was to be of service, to truly effect influential change in the lives of my clients, and I was working with clients I loved, but I still felt stretched across different business models that were not enabling me to truly thrive.
I was exhausted.
Healing Our Relationships
Being in conscious relationship means being aware of how power dynamics work between people.
If you feel challenged in your personal relationships, you might also notice that you face similar patterns in your client and work relationships.
One is often a reflection of the other.
Offering you a dynamic to pay attention to.
What Makes Your Business a Success
You don’t need to be brilliant at the business side of things. Instead, you need to know who you are as a creator, and what kind of leader you are choosing to be.
Befriending Our Shadow
Often, when fear arises we recognize what is most true in our longing.
The most important phases of moving our creative work forward are the moments we experience the greatest resistance.
Over time, how we respond in these moments, shape who we become.
You Got This
When you can accept that there is incongruence in the world, you can still choose congruency with yourself.
You can make a move to get clear, reconnect, ask for support, and act with clarity.
Finding Your Ideal Client
Over the years I have realized that for practitioners who want to offer in-depth healing and coaching work it is crucial in the development of your offers to be very clear about these two things:
Your Work’s Energetic Soul Blueprint
How Your Work Serves to Support a Specific Person
In the overall development of your business as a successful whole, it does not work to avoid this step.
Avoiding this step affects everything from your branding, marketing, and sales as well as your ability to sell your one to one work with confidence, clarity and zero ickiness.
A Reading for 2024
We are in a window of time for opportunity.
Notice where you feel out of bounds, where you may tend to overextend, and pull the reigns back on your ability to feel everything.
Keep focus on what is yours to tend to, while also keeping a compassionate heart for others who may be struggling with this next level of growth and expansion.
True Wealth
True wealth perseveres even in the darkest of times. Even when there is doubt about what will be. Stay true to yourself. Follow the consciousness of the work that inspires you, that guides you.
Healing the Money Wound
Truth be told
No one (who is a healer) wants to sell their work.
What we do want is to come into relationships that will heal and transform.
Transformation for ourselves, one another, our families and communities, the world.
That’s what we want
We want to change the world.
Birthplace for Change
When we are connected to the spirit of creativity in our lives, it opens us to deeper truths of why we are here and lends us a path into self-understanding.
When we have this awareness, we open the door to the capacity for real change.
Women Who Are Healers
When we commit from our heart our lives change and become the catalysts for change in our own lives and those closest to us.
Living true to your purpose is not about what you do, it’s about WHO YOU ARE. It's about recognizing how you are valuable and a unique necessary part of the overarching purpose for greater individual and collective healing and well-being.
Start with WHY
Your business is home to your most powerful and creative gifts. These gifts have purpose. This purpose belongs in the world.
When you know why you do what you do, that depth of urgency in your bones, you have the foundation for a business that will thrive.
Clarity of Purpose
Every longing, every question, every desire will be fulfilled through you.
You are the key that gives rise to your own awakening.
From this still space within you is the access to your own healing and deepest truths. Wholehearted and embodied.
Clarity of purpose arises out of knowing who you are.
From Worthiness to Willingness
Healing the area of money in our life is a process of reconnection with our needs and welcoming yourself home to more support, love and self-trust.
Grueling and Poetic
There is some thing grueling and poetic about becoming an entrepreneur. Building a business from the ground up with your heart and soul is hard core.
One of the mistruths I hear and see a lot is that once you find your purpose everything else will fall into place. It should feel easy, right?! Everything will just come to you. The universe will reward you for it.
This simply is not true.
Business as a Spiritual Practice.
My spiritual practice is not separate from my business practice. In fact, my spiritual practice informs much of the way I do business.
The hardest thing about growing a business for women who are deeply spiritual is the belief that you have to sacrifice your core values and become someone you are not in order to have a successful business.
I felt that way for a long time.
Deep down, we are always asking ourselves: what about my integrity and the integrity of the work I want to create and share?
How can I grow my practice and my business with integrity in a way that feels in alignment with my soul?
My Turning Point
About five years ago, I found myself at an urgent crossroads. I was no longer satisfied in my life and business.
Even though I was technically doing what I loved and working with clients I deeply appreciated, I realized a fundamental truth inside of me that was terrifying:
What I wanted for myself in life had changed.
